Kerry S. Leppo, Vice President, Operations
"On the operational side, we strive to be the same kind of tightly-run company we would recommend to investors. We maintain an extensive database of financing opportunities, keep close track of legal and financial details, and devote substantial resources to matching the right company with the right lenders and investors."
Kerry S. Leppo contributes over 25 years of solid business development, marketing and operations background to Briggs Capital. A seasoned advertising executive on both the agency side and the client side, Kerry has worked with a vast array of consumer and business-to-business products and services. During his tenure as CEO of Boston-based Abbot, Ames Advertising, he was instrumental in developing and executing successful marketing plans and campaigns for such global clients as Gillette, Braun and John Hancock.
After nine years in the advertising business, Kerry became a founding partner of HomeView, the nation's first computerized home search firm. Kerry and the HomeView management team successfully raised ten million dollars in venture capital to launch this revolutionary service. In just eighteen months, HomeView developed into one of the most recognizable brands in the New England real estate market and became the precursor of today's Internet-based real estate search engines. The HomeView technology was then sold to the Prudential Insurance Company, where it is still in use today.
Focusing on strategic planning and business start-ups, Kerry created Topwater Communications, a boutique business consulting firm. There he developed global branding, Web presence and a myriad of selling strategies for companies such as Randolph Engineering, the world's leading supplier of military and aviation eyewear; Mouli Inc., an international gourmet utensil designer and manufacturer; Great Eastern Premium Pet Foods, a turnaround situation resulting in a successful seven-figure sale; and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, working with distressed companies enrolled in state business programs to help them acquire funding, reposition and ultimately turn themselves around.
After several years of successful consulting, Kerry was invited to join one of his clients, Kestral Communications, an online customer loyalty and incentive promotions company, as COO. Kerry's operational background and customer service acumen guided Kestral to the forefront of online incentive and promotional programs.
In his private life, Kerry spends time with his son Nicholas and his wife Lin, fishing and restoring their vintage home in Walpole, Massachusetts.
