Robert R. Bell, Jr., Managing Director

ON ASSIGNMENT

"Despite the current economic climate, the exit strategies of sellers of privately held companies remains very lucrative, yet fraught with layers of craftily hidden pitfalls. We take immense pride in our role of consistently developing a multi-tiered payout for the sellers that brings both immediate returns for their life's work while at the same time safe guarding all of their future interests."

Bob Bell brings to Briggs over twenty years of progressive succession in both publicly held and private sector companies.  Recent inclusions were positions as Director of Private Equity managing the portfolio of two mezzanine funds and all venture activity for MB Capital in Boston; and as Chief Development Officer for a venture-backed healthcare company which exited to a national strategic conglomerate. Bob directed the development group, which made eleven acquisitions and doubled the revenue of the company. Bob was responsible for directing all phases of the acquisition process including identification of prospects, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, legal documentation, and closing. In addition to the initial integration of all new acquisitions, Bob held a transitional and ongoing Regional CEO role within the company’s Florida operations.

Before these most recent positions, Bob held a number of senior development roles throughout the Northeast with specific concentrations in healthcare.  While at Healthsource, Bob performed significant key acquisition and due diligence roles on multiple deals prior to being selected to head up a joint venture with Chubb Life America in New York City.

In his role at Briggs Capital, Bob’s expertise brings him back to directing all phases of buy-side, equity raise, and the entire selling process.

In addition, Bob continues to advise and work closely with a number of boards of various past portfolio companies. He holds a B.A. from Norwich University, MCV where he was designated a Distinguished Military Graduate (DMG), and received a Regular Army Commission upon his graduation.
